About Us
We use neurophysiological, clinical, and implementation research designs to develop therapeutic exercise strategies that support neurological function. Our studies involve non-invasive brain stimulation, electromyography, blood biomarker and genotyping analyses, clinical assessments, and maximal exercise testing. We strive to bridge the gap between advances in understanding of human physiology and innovation in real-world exercise prescription for people experiencing chronic neurological conditions.
MISSION
To develop and implement evidence-based exercise strategies that facilitate neuroplasticity to rehabilitate movement abilities and enhance quality of life for people living with chronic neurological conditions.
VISION
Neurological rehabilitation that supports and optimizes the life-long endeavour that is recovery of function after the onset of a neurological condition.
GOAL
For the Neuroplasticity and Neurorehabilitation Research Lab to be a regional hub for neurophysiological, clinical and implementation research in exercise programming for people with chronic neurological conditions.
